THE CLIENT
Multi Level Marketing is a dynamic business involving numerous companies and individuals and as such
needs to be robust and scalable.
THE REQUIREMENT
The company for which the system has been designed approached us with several problems as under:-
- Their paper-based system was unable to manage the MLM members, several thousands in number and
commission calculation became a nightmare.
- Incorrect calculations and allocations led to huge financial losses for the company and members
were extremely unhappy because of the delay occurring in getting their commissions and account statements.
- Inappropriate inventory level information led to wrong purchasing decisions, resulting in unnecessary
funds blockage.
SOLUTION
After interacting with the client for several days, and understanding their business logic, we designed the
solution for them which proved to be a boon to the company.
The salient features of the system included: -
- Member Details - including registration, tree structure, renewal, resignation, consolidated & individual commissions and pending renewal list.
- Masters - including company, group, product, package and suppliers masters.
- Sales Management - including first purchase and re-purchase.
- Inventory Management - including purchase order, material receipt and packaging.
- Extensive Reports - including sales reports, deferred and commission based purchase, activities
report, FIFO report, pool club team, income from members, supplier-wise item list, total payout,
revenue & payout.
TECHNOLOGY USED
Developed using Visual Basic 6.0 and MS SQL Server, the system has so far
proved to be extremely robust and scalable as it is already handling commission calculations for over 1,00,000
members with consummate ease.
THE IMPACT
Now, the company is in a position to instantly calculate commissions and generate financial statements
for the members on request. Also, the inventory levels are managed efficiently as the company always
has first hand information of depleting stock levels and scheduled purchases.
